How Fuse Creates Custom Replacement Lenses

Ever wonder what happens after you hit “place order”? Our process may surprise you, because though we have grown a lot since our beginnings ten years ago, we still carefully craft your order each step of the way. Join us as we give you a behind the scenes look at how Fuse takes your order from start to finish.

Custom Cutting

900 individual points are traced to create a custom lens that fits your unique frames.

Custom cut lenses begin their journey when the lens disk is placed into a tray with a printout of your order’s unique details. Your lens color disk and accessories are pulled from our wall of inventory. Our team member then preps the lenses to be cut, and safely places them into the cutting tray. If you’re using the concierge service, your frames are placed into placed into a machine that traces 900 individual data points around the frame to tell us the exact lens shape. Once the machine is calibrated with your lens size, our state-of-the-art machines quickly and efficiently cut lenses to fit your exact frames.

Cleaning and Inspection

After being cut, our team performs a quality assurance check to ensure that the lenses are cut to our highest standard. The inspection starts with a light mist of cleansing spray, followed by a light wipe. The lens is then held up to the light and rotated horizontally and vertically to check for any inconsistencies and polarization. Under this industrial grade light, our eyewear expert is able to see all scratches and residue. After being inspected, each lens is placed directly into a protective plastic sleeve that then gets placed into a lens case (with a cleaning cloth) to ensure your lenses remain scratch free.

Packaging With Care

To make sure your Fuse gear arrives safely, your order is packaged by one of our eyewear specialist. They start by grabbing a few fun surprises like stickers, then place your order into a mailer and attach the mailing label on to the outside. Finally, they scan the package, and separate it by shipping method. After being picked up by the appropriate mail carrier, it is on its way to you!

Fuse +Plus lens purchases include a lifetime, 1 time replacement guarantee. It doesn’t matter if something happens today, tomorrow, or 10 years from now -- we’ve got your back.

Standard Warranty

All lens purchases include a 1 year, 1 time replacement warranty standard, no questions asked.

Extended Warranty

On top of that, we allow you to extend your standard warranty for another year! Just add the extra warranty to your cart, and we will add on another 1 year, 1 time replacement to your purchase. For Fuse +Plus lenses, this add-on is for one extra lens replacement over the lifetime of your lenses.

Warranty redemptions may only be used for a lens of the same value and for the same frame as the original purchase. If your lenses become damaged at any time during the warranty time period, simply contact customer service from our Help Center to get a fresh set of lenses.

60 Day Guarantee, Buy With Confidence!

All lens purchases include a 60-day guarantee. Within 60 days after the date of delivery, you may exchange or return your item for a full refund. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the original packaging, and in the same condition that you received it.

Unfortunately, gift cards are ineligible for returns. Additionally, past 60 days we are unable to offer you a refund. To complete your return, we require proof of purchase..
