FUSE NEWS

Keeping Your Sunglasses Secure

Sunglasses are not just a fashion accessory; they're essential for protecting your eyes from harmful UV rays and reducing glare during outdoor adventures. However, keeping your shades safe and secure while on the go can be a challenge. As always, Fuse has got you covered. Today we'll deep dive into different ways to ensure your sunglasses stay protected, no matter what your day throws at you.

Sunglasses cases:

Sunglass cases are a classic choice when it comes to protecting your shades. They come in various shapes, sizes, and materials, providing options for every type of adventurer. Here are some pros and cons of using sunglass cases:

pros:

  • Excellent Protection: Sunglass cases are designed to shield your shades from scratches, dust, and impact damage. They are especially useful for delicate or expensive sunglasses.

  • Versatility: You can find sunglass cases that attach to your belt, fit in your pocket, or easily slip into your backpack. They are versatile and can accommodate different types of sunglasses.

  • Durability: Many sunglass cases are made from sturdy materials like hard plastic or padded fabric, ensuring they can withstand the rigors of outdoor activities.

  • Style Options: Sunglass cases come in a variety of colors and designs, allowing you to choose one that matches your personal style

cons:

  • Bulky: Some sunglass cases can be bulky and take up space in your bag or pocket, making them less convenient for quick access to your shades.

  • Limited Security: While cases offer protection against scratches and minor impacts, they may not prevent loss or theft if you're not vigilant.

Sunglass cords and cable grips:

Sunglass cords and cable grips are popular among outdoor enthusiasts who need quick and easy access to their sunglasses while on the move. Here's a closer look at their pros and cons:

 pros:

  • Compatibility: Sunglass cords and cable grips can be used with a wide range of sunglasses, making them a versatile option.

  • Security: Sunglass cords and cable grips keep your sunglasses securely attached to your body or gear, reducing the risk of losing them during outdoor activities.

  • Lightweight: They are lightweight and don't add extra bulk to your adventure gear.

cons:

  • Limited Protection: While they prevent loss, sunglass cords and cable grips offer minimal protection against scratches, dust, or impacts. Your shades are more exposed to potential damage.

  • Style Constraints: Some adventurers may find sunglass cords and cable grips less fashionable compared to carrying their sunglasses in a case.

Summary:

  • Sunglass cases offer the highest amount of protection.
  • Sunglass cases can be bulky and hard to carry around.
  • Sunglass cords are compact and secure.
  • Sunglass cords do offer less lens protection than a case however.

In the end, which method you pick to protect your glasses is up to you, and depends on your preferences. But if you’re looking for a high quality cable grip or sunglass case, you should check us out at Fuse Lenses.
